Visit & pre-order
We’re on the harbour side of Quay Street, two doors from the steps. Here’s when we’re open, how to find us and how to keep a loaf aside.

Keep a loaf aside
Popular loaves can be gone by mid-morning. If you know what you want, ask us to put one aside.
- Ask by 16:00 the day before
Phone or email with the loaf, how many, and roughly when you’ll come.
- We bake it with the rest
It comes out with its usual bake and waits behind the counter with your name on it.
- Collect before 13:00
Pay when you pick it up. After 13:00 we put it back on the shelf.
Contact details are fictional: the number is from a range the UK reserves for drama, and the email uses a reserved example domain.

Questions we get at the counter
Do you make gluten-free bread?
No. Flour is in the air all day, so we can’t keep anything safe for coeliacs. The rye contains less gluten but is not gluten-free.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, card and phone payments are fine, and so is cash.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. There’s a water bowl by the door and a bench outside facing the harbour.
Can you bake for a party or café?
For ten loaves or more, email us at least a week ahead and we’ll tell you what we can fit into the oven.
Where can I park?
The harbour car park is a two-minute walk east along Quay Street. Quay Street itself is pedestrian before 11:00.
