Websites for small independent businesses.
I design and build sites for bakeries, guides, makers and other small businesses. Each one is made for that business, works on phones and computers, and speaks Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. The three below are concept projects for fictional businesses, so you can see how I work without borrowing anyone’s brand.
-
Halmstead Bakehouse
Sourdough bakery and coffee counter
Pick a time of day and the bakery answers: the photo, the shelf and the colour of the whole page move from the dark before the first bake to the closing hour, so a customer sees at once when to come. Real photography leads, with a hand-drawn town map and kraft price tags.

- Home, The shelf, Visit & pre-order

- Unsplash photos; the town map is drawn in code
-
Skerrylight Sea Kayak
Guided sea kayak trips
Pick one of three trips and the photo, the route chart and the price change together. A tide slider shows why start times move through the day, and whether a time falls inside the half-day trip window. Photography leads, with the nautical chart as a small inset.
- Pages
- Home, Trips, Plan your paddle

- Unsplash photos; route charts and tide curve drawn in code

Marrowick Knit
Knitwear shop and studio
The page opens on a photo of a jumper set inside a knitted Fair Isle yoke. Pick a colourway and the ring is re-knitted in those colours while the photo and price tag change. Further down, a pattern chart sits beside a jumper: every square you click re-knits it on the spot. Product and workshop pages use real photography.
