How the weather call works

The sea decides the plan. This is the order things happen in, from the evening before to the moment you launch.

  1. The evening before

We check the forecast and send your exact start time.

  2. Final check

If we need to move or cancel, you hear from us by 08:00.

  3. On the slip

Check-in, kit fitting and a safety briefing.

  4. On the water

Your guide adjusts the route to the wind. We always finish back at the slip.

Questions before booking

I’ve never been in a kayak. Can I come?

Yes. Harbour & Seal Rocks and Evening light are planned for complete beginners. You need to be comfortable in water, but you don’t need to be a strong swimmer.

Can children come?

From 12 years old with a paying adult, in their own boat. Younger children can join private trips in a double kayak with a parent.

What if I capsize?

It’s rare on our beginner trips, and we practise what to do on the slip first. Your guide is always within reach and carries spare dry clothes.

What happens if you cancel for weather?

You choose a new date or a full refund. We tell you by 08:00 on the day at the latest.

Can I cancel my booking?

Free of charge up to 48 hours before the start. After that we refund half, unless we can fill your place.

Request a date

Tell us which trip, how many people and two or three dates that work. We reply within a day with start times that fit the tide.
